I've been skating for a few years now and I'v seen our local scene grow from a handful of riders to an awesome and diverse scene filled with lots of groups focusing on many disciplines.
I wanted to take a minute to thank all the newer guys and gals who are getting in to this "sport/activity/timesuck" for being cool.
There are other cities (Vancouver, Laguna) who have serious problems with newer and younger riders doing really stupid things like mobbing down residential neighborhoods without helmets and flipping off drivers etc.
Its getting so bad in some spots that the law is starting to crack down and the communities are starting to react badly.
So anyways, thanks to all of you for not blowing it. I feel lucky to be a part of this scene; if we can keep it up we might not see any of the growing pains other cities do.
Stay Frosty.
